Closure of an account, withdrawal requests, or removal of consent may not automatically result in the deletion or removal of published articles, DOI records, indexing metadata, citation references, repository entries, archival records, editorial histories, or scholarly preservation materials already integrated into publication, indexing, citation, or archival systems.
Certain records or publication-related materials may continue to be retained where reasonably necessary for research integrity, academic preservation, legal compliance, fraud prevention, citation continuity, publication verification, archival purposes, or dispute-resolution requirements associated with scholarly publishing operations.
